Gov. Jan Brewer has signed a bill creating a state militia that she
could deploy at any time, and for any reason.
The bill, SB1495, creates a volunteer state militia, separate and apart
from the National Guard.
--- That'd be a good way to get rid of them, send them into an
NBC disaster site with a bottle of Mr. Clean and a roll of Brawny.
The Militias should have one purpose: Protect what little Liberty we
have left and fight to re-establish the Liberty that has been lost. The
real 'terrorists' were all born here, most have white skin and probably
draw a government paycheck or work for or fund some commie front group.
The National Guard is funded by the Federal Government and their weapons
are kept in Federal Armories and issued by the U.S. Army. It's a matter
of time until these state government 'state militias' are treated the
same way.
We must pass amendments to the U.S. and state constitutions that clarify
the militias are 'the people' with their own weapons that can be
purchased at the local hardware store and their purpose is the
maintenance of Liberty to the point of having at least arrest powers
over commie/fascist/authoritarian politicians who introduce Liberty
eroding legislation. They should have the power to drag the garbage from
the state house or U.S. Congress, give them a quick treason trial and
hang them from the official gallows out front.

The federal Environmental Protection Agency is phasing out the sale of
incandescent bulbs in the United States. Lawmakers want to make the
Palmetto State an exception.
The Incandescent Light Bulb Freedom Act — that’s the real name of the
bill — would encourage local production and sale of incandescents by
allowing the state to sidestep federal regulations.

As many predicted, lower courts continue to find Obamacare
unconstitutional.
The reason? Because it is unconstitutional. The Constitution limits the
federal government’s powers. How can there be any limits on federal
power if they can compel Americans to buy goods and services?
But just because the lower courts continue to find Obamacare
unconstitutional, don’t get your hopes up. These cases are opening acts,
theater, leading to the real show: the Supreme Court.

Kentucky GOP Chair Steve Robertson has threatened to have both
candidates removed from the ballot if they win the primary, using a
provision of Kentucky election law. Candidates for election in a primary
must sign a statement saying they “intend to support its principles and
policies” of their party. Robertson alleges that signing a petition
allowing another candidate to run for office violates this oath.

Political newcomer Phil Moffett is undeniably a long shot in his bid to
win the Republican nomination for governor, but he cites recent Kentucky
political history as a reason for optimism.

said he was inspired by the success last year of political novice Rand
Paul in Kentucky's U.S. Senate race.

legislature have a strong dislike for Senate President David Williams,
and, if you ask them in private, they will tell you the truth. Of
course, in public, they either keep their mouths shut or speak in favor

Why do they dislike him so much?
Maybe it is because he is the “Bully from Burkesville”, who gets his way
not by persuading people that he has the best ideas but by reminding
them that he will get revenge if they don’t go along.

A secret operation to run guns across the border to Mexican drug
cartels—overseen by U.S. government agents—threatens to become a major
scandal for the Obama administration.
The operation, called Fast and Furious, was run out of the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) office in Phoenix,
Ariz. ATF sanctioned the purchase of weapons in U.S. gun shops and
tracked the smuggling route to the Mexican border. Reportedly, more than
2,500 firearms were sold to straw buyers who then handed off the weapons
to gunrunners under the nose of ATF.

David Olofson has been subjected to a gross miscarriage of justice. What
happened to Olofson could happen to any American who owns a
semi-automatic firearm.
He was convicted of knowingly transferring an unregistered machine gun –
a gun which fired a burst and jammed. Gun owners call that a
malfunction. The federal government calls it an easy way to get a felony
conviction. Olofson was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison.

The University of Kentucky has fired a graduate student and former
anesthesia technician, Michael Mitchell, for keeping a gun in his car a
mile away from the university hospital where he was employed.
The university then proceeded to try to deny Mitchell unemployment
compensation by claiming, unsuccessfully, that he was fired for
misconduct. A hearing officer found against the University of Kentucky
and in favor of Mitchell.

In what the White House calls a push for transparency, a pending
executive order would require companies doing business with the federal
government to disclose political contributions to independent groups,
but would not place the same requirement on public employee unions or
federal grant recipients that typically donate to Democrats.
Entitled the “Disclosure of Political Spending By Government
Contractors,” the order would implement parts of the DISCLOSE Act, which
failed to get through Congress last year. The legislation sought to
restrict campaign speech after the landmark Citizens United vs. Federal
Elections Commission U.S. Supreme Court ruling that upheld the right of
corporations and unions to donate to campaigns.

be urgently diversified, today we get a sense of just how big the
upcoming Chinese defection from the “buy US debt” Nash equilibrium will
be. Not surprisingly, China appears to be getting ready to cut its USD
reserves by roughly the amount of dollars that was recently printed by
the Fed, or $2 trilion or so. And to think that this comes just as news
that the Japanese pension fund will soon be dumping who knows what. So,
once again, how about that “end of QE” again?
