"The bill doesn't come close to giving "everybody" access to coverage. According to the Congressional Budget Office, 10 years from now there will still be at least 21 million uninsured Americans. That's an improvement over today, but it's a far cry from the universal coverage that Obama once promised."

Commie Chavez moves to take over last independent weaponvision station
"This is why Chávez has launched a takeover strategy of Globovisión, which became clear yesterday with his announcement that the Venezuelan government will take almost half of Globovisión’s shares, and name a representative in the network’s Board of Directors. His shady plan consists of seizing the shares of a bank whose owner is also a partial owner of Globovisión, and also seizing the stake of a Globovisión shareholder who recently died. This would give the government 45.8 percent of the network’s ownership. (The story is explained in full detail here). This move has been called “legally absurd” by Guillermo Zuloaga, president of Globovisión, who escaped Venezuela last month after a government-controlled court issued an arrest warrant against him and his son for “hoarding cars.”
Imagine that, a commie taking over a private
enterprise at the point of a government gun. We'd better get ready to
start killing them over here...

How the Lincoln myth was hatched
"Anyone
who has read
The Real Lincoln (or scanned the "King Lincoln Archive" at
LewRockwell.com) would not be surprised at all to hear that Lincoln was
hated and reviled by most of the "great men" (and the Northern masses)
of his time. As Tagg hesitantly admits in his Introduction, Lincoln was
widely criticized in the North as a "bloody tyrant" and a "dictator" for
his "arbitrary arrests, the suspension of habeas corpus, and the
suppression of newspapers . . ." More specifically, imprisoning tens of
thousands of Northern civilians without due process for verbally
opposing his policies; shutting down over 300 opposition newspapers;
deporting an opposing member of Congress; confiscating firearms and
other forms of private property; intimidating and threatening to
imprison federal judges; invoking military conscription, income
taxation, an internal revenue bureaucracy, and huge public debt; and
ordering the murder of hundreds of draft protesters in the streets of
New York City in July of 1863 are all good reasons why Lincoln was so
widely despised."

Boehner set to 'listen' to Tea Party members

This could explain religion in general, whether that religion is ancient or the modern sort where man made government is the god of choice.
Most or many sheeple are not even smart enough to make up their own stories, so they regurgitate the ones they've been spoon fed all their lives, whether by preachers, teachers, news and entertainment media, etc.

Drones in u.S. skies - to keep an eye on us?
"You think an unmanned aerial vehicle won't be
interested in you, innocent of any conceivable (even by the CIA)
terrorist connections? Do not underestimate an all-seeing,
suspicious government. "State police," writes Whitehead, "hope to send
them up to capture images of speeding cars' license plates." And, in
2007, "insect-like drones were seen hovering over political rallies in
New York and Washington, seemingly spying on protesters."

"Today’s killer drones are sitting ducks. Loud, slow-moving, and simple to spot, any air defense more potent than a militant with an AK is liable to take one of the robotic planes down.
"But the next generation of unmanned combat aerial
vehicles (UCAVs) won’t be the airborne equivalent of fish in a barrel.
They’ll fly faster and higher than the current drone crop. And they’ll
be somewhat stealthy, as well."

Multiple ranches in Texas taken over by Mexican drug gang
"The bloodbath continues along our southern border and now word is coming in that Los Zetas, the highly trained killers formerly with the Gulf Cartel, have crossed into the United States and taken over at least two ranches in the Laredo, Texas area. I am receiving word that the owners of the ranches have evacuated without being harmed."
snip
"Anonymous sources in law enforcement in the Laredo
area tonight have passed on word that US law enforcement agencies are in
the area and are weighing their options regarding the ranches. The media
has been silent on this incident and some law enforcement in the area
says that they are furious that the media is not reporting the whole
story of the continued violence along the border. Their frustrations are
understandable because keeping the truth suppressed continues to hamper
law enforcement from receiving the true support they need along the
border."

Is that what they're calling them now?
"In the Forest Service's news release about the recent string of marijuana busts, I discovered a term of art I'd never encountered before:
During the raid, a U.S. Forest Service K-9 team located Gauldry Almonte-Hernandez, a displaced foreign traveler from Michoacán Mexico, who had tried to flee the area and hide while officers were performing entry into the marijuana garden.
"Displaced foreign traveler"? Makes it sound like he meant to go to Disneyland, got lost, and ended up at a pot plantation in the woods south of Hayfork."
No surprise here. I've been telling 'conservatives'
and 'libertarians' for years to stop allowing communists to hide behind
their cute names: "Liberal," progressive, activist, feminist, etc. and
I've been accused numerous times of 'name calling.'
It's not name calling if its true.

Physical exertion, imagine that...
"We are not meeting just to sit around and talk. Our militia field training requires physical exertion such as patrolling with a rifle and a full combat load. In order to support marriages and families our support roles are reserved for women. All men must be physically fit enough to at least hike with a rifle and a full combat load. Women are allowed to fully participate in our field training activities or they may just observe if they want to but we require all men who attend to be willing and physically fit enough to participate in our field training activities."
The older I get the less my exerter cooperates. But I still get off my ass and do some things. Do you?
And more from this group:
"My resistance to a standard weapon are for these reasons: First and foremost, KISSATA is a training vehicle, and I don't want to lose or discourage anyone's participation because they have to buy a certain type of weapon that they do not have before they can start training. Any appropriate military rifle will build the basic weapons handling and marksmanship skills. (or enable one to capture a "better" weapon)"
I like how this guy thinks: "...to capture a "better" weapon." That's the proactive thought pattern the patriot/tea party/whatever movement needs, an aggressive attack posture, not sitting around waiting for the apocalypse or for the black-suited Nazis to come pick us off one-by-one.
The "they ain't a gonna git my guns," and the "they kin have my guns, bullets first,' and 'molon labe'(come and take them), mentalities must be done away with.
We must begin to prepare and train for going to our enemies, where ever they are, down the street or across the country and destroying them in place.
That's what this guy said several years ago:
"How we burned in the prison camps later thinking: What would things have been like if every police operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? If during periods of mass arrests people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever was at hand? The organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt." -Alexander Solzhenitsyn, author of The Gulag Archipelago.
He
spent several years thinking about what he should have done. Will you?

Can you do this?
If you cannot float, you cannot swim. End of discussion. I don't care if you can fight your way across the Ohio River, if you get 5 feet beyond that and run out of energy, if you cannot relax, float and rest, you will panic and you will die.
I had a friend tell me a few years back that he
could swim after telling me he would join me in a swim across a river.
He got to within 5 feet of the other side and panicked for some reason.
I had to go over and give him a hand. Luckily there was a boat with some
fishermen coming down the river. They gave him a lift back across. I
swam back, a distance of maybe 50 yards.

Remake of 'Red Dawn' coming out?
"Red Dawn is an upcoming war film being directed by Dan Bradley and written by Jeremy Passmore and Carl Ellsworth based on the 1984 film of the same name.[2] The remake stars Chris Hemsworth and Josh Peck as brothers Jed and Matt Eckert. The film is scheduled to be released on November 24, 2010, but is now in limbo due to MGM's lack of funding. Instead of depicting a Soviet invasion of the United States heartland as in the original 1984 film, this film's storyline will be based on a Chinese invasion."
snip
"In June 2010 release of the film was delayed due to MGM’s dire financial situation. Despite the film being close to finished and could stand to make MGM the most money right now, there’s no money to finish the film, much less pay for a release. The delay comes amid growing controversy in China after excerpts of the script were leaked on the website The Awl. The film has drawn sharp criticism from the Global Times, one of the leading Chinese state-run newspapers two days in a row. The headlines read "U.S. reshoots Cold War movie to demonize China" and "American movie plants hostile seeds against China". Articles went on to say that the film has roots in a deep American fear of Chinese power. “China can still feel U.S. distrust and fear, especially among its people. Americans’ suspicions about China are the best ground for the hawks to disseminate fear and doubt, which is the biggest concern with the movie, Red Dawn”
From the Wikipedia page on the film. Couldn't find an 'official' site.
I really loved the original version, if for no other reason than "Liberals"(commies, our biggest domestic enemies) hate it so much. But I'm disappointed in this scenario. Not that a Chinese invasion is impossible, I just find it highly implausible, almost as implausible as a Soviet invasion was during the cold war.
Our biggest enemies are right here, always have been, right down the street or across the county. They voted for the Marxist mutt, not just out of stupidity, but because they really believe in his Marxism and are very willing to send their black-suited Nazis to kill anyone who refuses to go along with their communism.
Don't believe me? Simply ask your "Liberal"
so-called 'friends' what they're willing to have done to you for
refusing to go along with their communism.

What a way to spend a summer day

"Why do they hate us?" It's a burning question on
the minds of border-dwelling taxpayers, small-business owners, farmers,
and Rocky Mountain oil and gas industry workers suffering under punitive
Democrat policies. Eighteen months into the Barack Obama administration,
the war on the American West is in full swing.
"The first battlefront: immigration. On Wednesday, Senate Democrats
rejected a GOP amendment banning the use of federal funds to participate
in any litigation against the new Arizona immigration enforcement law."
snip
"There are an estimated 800 billion barrels of
recoverable oil shale in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming alone – enough to
potentially free us from Saudi oil dependence.
"Yet as Obama's interior secretary, Salazar has wielded his power to
halt plans to lease oil shale rights in the West. In addition, Obama's
Bureau of Land Management is dragging its feet on more than $100 million
in unissued oil and gas leases in Wyoming."
And from the comments:
"How dumb to you think we are. "small-business
owners, farmers, and Rocky Mountain oil and gas industry" These are the
very people who are hiring the illegal immigrants. If there were no
American companies willing to hire them to get cheap labor the Mexicans
would have no incentive to cross the border. Illegal immigration has
slowed since the recession for good reason. They come for work. If there
is none they stay home. We are inviting them here to work. We wave the
candy at the border then complain when they "take the bait" and refuse
to blame ourselves for hiring them in the first place. Want to stop
illegal workers? Stop hiring them! But don't make them out to be the
villains because they are willing to take risks for a better life. In my
mind that makes them pretty brave. There is a solution. We are the
solution not the government. We made the mess now we want the government
to clean up after us. Arrest and jail Americans who hire them....that
will solve most of the problem."

"When Soviet Communism collapsed in 1989 many in the West believed that we had entered a post-historical world; they were wrong. There would be no “peace dividend” – instead, we now have a reinvigorated ideological existential enemy.
"The events of 9/11 signaled a fundamental shift in how the world functions, or does not function. Our response to 9/11 will determine the future of humanity."
Uh huh. While many of the warnings against the ragheads and their 'sharia' law may ring true, our biggest enemies are the "Liberal" garbage who allow them to come here, and the neo-cons who probably at the very least allowed the 9/11 attacks to go forward for their purposes of their own agenda.
The commies and the ragheads obviously think they can work together
against human Liberty and then take out their 'allies' when the time is
right.

Newswhores discuss whether the govt. should shut down Fox News
“I am genuinely scared” of Fox, wrote Guardian columnist Daniel Davies, because it “shows you that a genuinely shameless and unethical media organisation *cannot* be controlled by any form of peer pressure or self-regulation, and nor can it be successfully cold-shouldered or ostracised. In order to have even a semblance of control, you need a tough legal framework.” Davies, a Brit, frequently argued the United States needed stricter libel laws."
Funny how the newswhore admits how they have operated for years. I had an employer tell me once years ago it was possible to be 'black-balled.' It was years later when I finally understood what she meant. She was part of the crowd who claimed the Kentucky Constitution needed to be re-written. Their excuse was always that it contains an oath taken by the legislators proclaiming that they have never participated in a duel. Of course they were Marxists who only wanted to replace Kentucky's form of government with a more commie friendly form of government.
In the end they are just more newswhores that will have to eradicated.
When "Liberal" season begins, the newswhores die first.

Gang members in the military, and back home
"Being in a street gang is now forbidden for members of the U.S. armed forces. But you might not guess that if you were to visit U.S. military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to soldiers who have recently served there.

in January with photos of gang graffiti on armored vehicles, latrines
and buildings. Stoleson, a sergeant with a National Guard unit, was
there for nine months to help the Army set up a prison facility outside
Baghdad.

Washington Post does series on our 'intelligence' system: Top Secret America
"Over the past two years, one of the most thought-provoking observations I have heard from both military and intelligence folks is this: There are probably 500 al-Qaeda members left in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region. At most, the organization may have a couple thousand people worldwide. "

Bilderbergers come out of the closet
"Invitations to Bilderberg conferences are extended by the Chairman following consultation with the Steering Committee members. Participants are chosen for their experience, their knowledge, their standing and their contribution to the selected agenda.
"There usually are about 120 participants of whom about two-thirds come from Europe and the balance from North America. About one-third are from government and politics, and two-thirds from finance, industry, labor, education, communications. Participants attend Bilderberg in a private and not an official capacity."
Read that carefully and it pretty much says all you need to know about them: kiss the right ass and they let you play.
On that note this seems rather appropriate:

LA. Catholic churches won't allow guns
"Concealed handguns will continue to be banned in Catholic churches despite a new state law that allows them, officials said Monday.
"The decision was made by Louisiana’s Catholic bishops."
My comments:
The Catholic Church, as most religious institutions, promotes mindless
authoritarianism and mindless obedience to authoritarianism. This has
been purposely true since ancient times as a way for the elites to keep
the slaves in line.
Thus they don’t want us getting the idea that a: we have the natural
born right, our most basic right, to defend ourselves where ever and
when ever we are against whatever entity wishes us compliant, obedient
and/or enslaved and that b: We should automatically and strenuously
question any authority figure that tells us differently and immediately
remove it from office.
All the crime stats are meaningless rhetoric, from both sides. Even if
disarming the sheeple could be proven to reduce crime, it would still be
a disabling strike against basic human dignity; the ultimate meaning of
our most basic right is we have the right to kill those who would turn
us into slaves by seeking to disarm us.
Those who seek to disarm the weak should be looked upon as the societal
cancer they are and treated as any cancer should be: excision and
eradication.
