Kentucky Freedom Festival this Saturday July 10
"We'll converge on the epicenter of the political landscape in KY: The
"Great Lawn" at the Capitol, in Frankfort, from 5pm-8pm. In the heart of
of summer, we´ll have ample cold water available at a nominal cost. But
do bring your own lawn chair!"
"This is not a "candidate´s forum," though your conservative candidates
for both the US Senate and US Congress are slated to speak. We DO want
you to get to know them better and help them take your concerns to
Washington to help move our federal government toward the Constitution.
This is instead a celebration of FREEDOM and those ingredients that made
America great and can restore her to greatness once again. To that end,
a number of grassroots speakers have been invited and will speak on
topics such as Immigration Reform, Healthcare, Education, Energy
Independence, Terrorism, the Founders and the Constitution itself."

Canadians applaud the fact they still have a monarch:
EPA´s New Clean-Air Rule Will Boost Power Prices, Force Closure
of Older
Coal- Fired Plants, Prompt Lawsuits
"The rule would cost nearly $3 billion a year and those costs are likely
to be passed along to consumers, although the rule's effect on specific
companies and on consumers was not clear."
So much for the demoncrats caring about the 'little man.' Or maybe they
intend to create 'energy parasites' who are almost guaranteed to vote
for
them...

Commiefornia putting its workers on minimum wage
On Friday, the Schwarzenegger administration won an appellate court
ruling saying it has the authority to impose the federal minimum wage of
$7.25 an hour on more than 200,000 state workers as California wrestles
with its latest budget crisis. It was not immediately clear if the state
controller, who cuts state paychecks on a decades-old payroll system,
will comply. The office says its computers are unable to make the change
until an upgrade is completed in two years.
Reminds me of that quote about bureaucrats. See my
quotes page.

June 23 was the anniversary of the last formal CSA surrender, and it was
the Indians
"While April 9, 1865 is generally regarded as the surrender of Lee´s
forces to those of Ulysses S. Grant, it would be a little over two
months
before the final Confederate surrender could be completed. News did not
travel fast in 1865, and it took that long for the surrender decision to
reach the Oklahoma Territory.
"It was there on June 23, 1865 that the last formal surrender took
place,
and the commanding officer was General Stand Watie, the only Indian to
be
named a General in the Confederate States Army."
Funny how they didn't have any special love for the same government that
after 'freeing' the slaves moved west to exterminate the native
populations for the railroads and settlers.

The
internet must remain free
"The Internet is abuzz with news that a US Senate committee has approved
a
bill that apparently gives the President authority to shut down the
Internet. According to TechWorld.com, "A US Senate committee has
approved
a wide-ranging cybersecurity bill that some critics have suggested would
give the US president the authority to shut down parts of the Internet
during a cyberattack."
"The report continues by saying, "The bill, introduced earlier this
month by Senators Joe Lieberman, I-Connecticut, Susan Collins, R-Maine, and
Thomas Carper, D- Delaware], would establish a White House Office for
Cyberspace Policy and a National Center for Cybersecurity and
Communications, which would work with private US companies to create
cybersecurity requirements for the electric grid, telecommunications
networks and other critical infrastructure."

usual they're attacking the wrong arm of the octopus...

"Psychological violence' a criminal offence in France
"This means that couples who insult each other repeatedly could now be
charged and face up to three years in prison.
"The law is a part of a number of measures that aim to protect victims
from domestic abuse.
"Critics of the law say that it will be very difficult to define what
constitutes psychological violence.
"The law defines mental violence as "repeated acts which could be
constituted by words or other machinations, to degrade one's quality of
life and cause a change to one's mental or physical state."
I guess Ralph Kramden would be thrown under the jail over there:
At least Alice wasn't forced to stay in her marriage....
The question is where did they find a raghead who can count that high?

Unhinged on the right
"Another, and the reason it is worth paying attention to Barber, is:
emblematic. Emblematic of the dangerous take-back-our-country rhetoric
that is spread on the conservative airwaves and fueling the Tea Partyers.
Barber may be on the outer edges of this movement, but he is not alone
there, and he is a predictable outgrowth of it."
"If you haven't spent any time listening to conservative talk radio, you
will probably be surprised by the white-hot vehemence of the commentary.
The concern and disagreement -- over health-care legislation, over bank
bailouts, over debt -- are understandable; the slippery-slope fears of
descent into socialism/totalitarianism are incomprehensible. Last I
looked, our checks and balances seemed pretty firmly anchored."
My comments on this garbage:
Marcus 'wouldn't have thought in a million years.' Well maybe it's been
that long since it had a thought. Or maybe it's "Liberal"(communist)
garbage who knows its only purpose is to generate propaganda. Doesn't
matter.
I´ve been called `Nazi, extremist, fascist, racist,´ and many other
names simply because I have stated publicly that we are all supposed to
be free. It´s OK for the American Communist Insurgents to call
reactionaries, their old name for us, anything they want.
That taught me that they are and have been for a long time waging war
against us, the Bill of Rights, and individual Liberty.
Barber is basically right though he as a lot to learn from those of us
who´ve had similar thoughts, for years, even decades. What a concept.
If he ran for president and promised to open "Liberal" season right
after swearing in I´d run to the polls to vote for him. With the
military on our side we could run the Amerikan Communist Insurgency out
of the country much faster. But it will still take years of protracted
blood conflict and it will come because they will eventually force it on
us and it must be done if we are to restore Liberty and save what is
left of the Republic.
Those who don't understand need to
start here.
And don't miss
my column
on Monday's SCOTUS decision.
It'll give Ruth plenty to 'think' about.

From one extreme to another...
Why do 'arteests' so often have to explain their 'art' with so much
meaningless gibberish?
This reminds me of seeing pool floats for sale in Saudi Arabia. The
censors had blacked out the girls in bikinis. The shirtless men were
apparently OK. Guess they don't worry so much about their wives getting
turned on by soft porn in the grocery store.

Bear attack closes Red River Gorge
"The hiker, Tim Scott of Springfield, Ky., told the Associated Press on
Monday that he was about to stab the bear in the eye with his pocket
knife
when another hiker threw his day pack and distracted the animal.
"Scott said that the bear had his teeth in his thigh and was shaking him
back and forth when the other hiker threw the pack and knocked the bear
sideways."
Now when are we going to learn to stop interfering with nature? The poor
bear was just trying to obtain a meal. Or maybe he just felt that he was
there first and the hiker didn't even ask permission to snap his
picture.
Damned tree hugging paparazzi.
Only the hiker knows for sure what happened. Or the bear. I know I don't
go into the woods without a gun. End of discussion.

Red River Gorge reopened, food storage order issued
"The gorge was temporarily closed last Sunday after a hiker was attacked
by a black bear along the Pinch-Em Tight Trail. The emergency closure
was
issued in the interest of public safety.
"The Natural Bridge State Resort Park will reopen hiking trails on
Friday
morning at the same time. While the lodge, sky lift, and bridge remained
open, the park took precautionary steps by closing all of its trails.
"Officials with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources
are
continuing their search for the bear that attacked the hiker. The bear
believed to be involved in the attack was last seen Thursday, June 30,
south of Beattyville in Lee County."
One wonders how they identified the offending bruin. Was it dragging a
leg
bone or carrying a pack?

Your govt. loves you...
If they can do it to the fundamentalist ragheads they can do it to the
rest of us.
The only real complaint the commies have with tyranny is when they're
not in charge of it... And they're not stupid like most 'conservatives,'
the American Communist Insurgency understands its greatest enemies are
right here.

Mexican Gangs Maintain Permanent Lookout Bases in Hills of
Arizona
"The scouts are supplied by drivers who bring them food, water,
batteries for radios -- all the items they need to stay in the
wilderness for a long time."
snip
"The agents blame part of their plight on new policies from Washington,
claiming it has put a majority of the U.S. agents on the border itself.
One agent compared it to a short-yardage defense in football, explaining
that once the smugglers and drug- runners break through the front line,
they're home free."
snip
"They say the area has never been controlled and has suddenly gotten
worse, with the cartels maintaining a strong presence on U.S. soil. More
than ever, agents on the front lines are wearing tactical gear,
including helmets, to protect themselves."
Hmmm, maybe the mistake is in assuming that the commies in control of
the u.S. government actually want to stop the flow of either drugs or
potential voters/parasites?

Arizona illegal family flees state
"This piece by CBS is supposed to cause you to feel sorry for the
illegals who came here 15 years ago. Since that time they have had 10
count them 10 children who are now legal citizens. They are jobless and
are now leaving the state and going to Colorado....that's the only thing
that is sad...they are another states financial burden now."
Well, the new Arizona law appears to be working. That's why the commies
hate it so much and fear it spreading to other states.
"Vere arree vour papperzzz?"
Walls and police states often work both ways...

Republicrats and Ameri-commies play tug of war with
Latino/Hispanic votes
"The Democratic-dominated Congressional Hispanic Caucus praised Obama's
actions Tuesday, but left little doubt it wants more.
"Immigration reform must provide a system that ends illegal immigration,
secures our borders and provides rules that everyone can follow," the
group said in a statement."
What a concept. If only they really meant it they way it reads. We need
to be teaching Liberty to immigrants, not turning them into parasites or
tolerating them as lesser beings who we allow to come here to do the
jobs no-one else wants.
But with un-employment the way it is, I'm not sure how many of those we
still have.

Tasered granny sues town
"An 87-year-old Oklahoma grandmother Tasered by police while she was
hooked up to an oxygen machine in bed is suing the town of El Reno. Lona
Varner is seeking at least $75,000, AP reports. Cops were called to
Varner's home by her grandson, who told them she was suicidal, according
to police. An officer used the Taser when she pulled a kitchen knife out
from under her pillow and threatened cops with it, police said."

"Intelligence" might not be the proper word:
This video has been marked 'private' on YouTube. Apparently the 'Center for Security Policy' doesn't want the sheeple seeing certain things. Or maybe it's the 'domestic terrorists' they fear. Makes me wonder about them and whose security they're really concerned about. Their stance on the so-called 'Patriot Act' might give us a clue.
Reminds me of what I once heard a fellow Marine say, that 'USMC' was an
acronym for 'Unlimited Sh*t and Mass Confusion.

The Marxist mutt: the great jobs killer
"You won't find proof of the damage Obama is doing on Wall Street, but
rather on Main Street. My friends are all part of the economic engine of
America: Small business. Small business creates 75 percent of new jobs
(and a majority of all jobs). I called one friend who was a wealthy
restaurant owner. He says business is off by 60 percent. He's drowning
in
debt. He won't last much longer. His wealth is gone."
Here we go making assumptions again, that the commies want to 'help'
anyone. Their goal has always been to tear down the existing form of
government and install communism. End of discussion.

Mob Assaults Illinois Police Officers
"An unruly mob lured emergency personnel to a housing complex near St.
Louis with reports of a blaze, a shooting and other crimes, then
attacked them with fireworks and bottle rockets, authorities said.
"No one was injured in the onslaughts against firefighters and police in
Alton on Sunday night and early Monday."

Essential handgun skills for cops, and the rest of us...
"Many departments have no training system, only a requirement that
officers "qualify." Qualification may be as simple as firing 30-50
rounds standing still, in full light, in front of an unmoving piece of
paper, with no induced stress, no verbalization and no realistic time
limitations. Question: What are these officers qualified for? To fight
the next piece of paper they encounter?
"This isn´t what a street fight is like. What we´re doing is confusing a
most basic level of mechanical firearms use with the most advanced
physical demands of an armed confrontation. There´s no equivalence, and
those who hold to this standard do so in the hope that it "won´t happen
here." But it can and will."
__________________________________________________________________
Passing essential skills on to the next generation...
Finally, a patriot who's doing something besides hunkering down for the
apocalypse, or a 'Christian' who's not just waiting to get beamed up...
Watching this actually made me cry. The next generation or two will find
themselves with their backs against the wall and wondering how they got
there, the percentage that's smart enough to do so that is.

Financial Times gets it right... about BP and the oil 'spill'
"While Mr. Obama has every right to ask BP for a large cheque, he is not
entitled to a blank one. Moreover, Mr. Salazar´s idea contains more than
a whiff of discrimination, especially when combined with the stress that
has already been placed on BP´s Britishness. Picking on foreigners is an
odd road for the US to travel down. The US is by far the largest holder
of foreign corporate assets in the world."

Willowtown Column: We have a long way to go
"I will not be satisfied until I can carry a fully automatic weapon, or
whatever tool is commonly carried by the government´s infantry soldiers,
slung over my shoulder, anywhere, that´s the `anywhere´ that´s in the
dictionary. And no one will blink or raise an eyebrow because they
acknowledge it is my natural born right to do so, without some
government Nazi demanding that I show proof of a `license´(permission)
granted or a tax paid on that weapon or the handgun on my hip, concealed
or not."
__________________________________________________________________
Any excuse for a buzz...
The sad thing is that somewhere there's a black-suited Nazi(s) who's
dying to raid these people when they probably aren't harming anyone but
themselves, while our real enemies go to the u.S. Capitol building every
day un-opposed.

Quote for the times...
"I rejoice in a belief that intellectual light will spring up in the
dark corners of the earth; that freedom of enquiry will produce
liberality of conduct; that mankind will reverse the absurd position
that the many were, made for the few; and that they will not continue
slaves in one part of the globe, when they can become freemen in
another." --George Washington, draft of First Inaugural Address, 1789
__________________________________________________________________
"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should
not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all
experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while
evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms
to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and
usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to
reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their
duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their
future security." -
The Unanimous Declaration of the Thirteen United States of America,
Adopted by Congress on July 4, 1776
(To the Founders, 'state' meant independent sovereign nation state,
that was voluntarily entering into the union and could theoretically
un-volunteer later.)
