The same ol’ blind patriotism
Barry Bright

A
bright smile, a pretty face, an expensive suit on television, they must be on
the weaponvision or the sheeple don’t perceive them as being credible.
I
really considered going to the recent Beck fest in the District of commie criminals but after watching
a few minutes of it on YouTube I was glad I
didn’t. If I had I would have had to wear
this shirt or maybe
this one or maybe
this one.
The
explanation for these designs can be found
here. Perhaps one of
the most important explanations for why can be found on
this page, important because of how it relates to what is happening in this
country today.
Here’s a very interesting quote from that page:
“General William Tecumseh
Think
of it, every time a group of misguided ‘patriots’ and ‘conservatives’ stand and
deliver their pledge of allegiance to the flag they’re agreeing with a known
communist who murdered thousands of southerners who were simply seeking the same
thing the English colonists had sought 80 years before, independence and Liberty
from an oppressive, greedy, tyrannical government ultimately manipulated by its
money powers.
When
at the various meetings I attend of such I go ahead and do as the Romans do and
bow my head to a god who’s going to burn the vast majority of humans who ever
lived alive in fire forever, according to the predominate ‘Christian’ theology,
using torture as a threat just as the ancient kings and priests of the past did.
But while reciting the ‘pledge’ to a piece of colored cloth that has long since
lost its honor or original purpose, if indeed it had one, I always say
‘divisible’ instead of ‘indivisible.’
Glenn
Beck does a fine job of indoctrinating the conservative sheeple in a new version
of blind patriotism. I’m not a regular viewer of Beck’s rants, but I’ve seen a
few excerpts and one complete show on YouTube that I posted in an earlier blog.
He even taught me a few things about the history of communism in this country.
But
to hold his so-called ‘restoring honor’ rally on the steps of what some rightly
call, the builders called, the
Does
he really not know what he’s doing? Not likely. He’s paid too much money by the
movers and shakers to be that ignorant. He knows he’s a pressure valve, as is
Faux News, as is the Tea Party movement, what it’s become, maybe not what it
started out to be.
A
while back I basically asked someone in a meeting, who was discussing the 14th
Amendment and how it turned us all into ‘citizens’ of the Federal Government,
thus lowering us all into the same form of slavery the former black slaves had
been elevated into, exactly when did the 13 colonies transform from English
colonies, subservient to an Earthly king, to independent nation states, members
of a voluntary union of said states?
The
answer should be easy, but the speaker was too caught up in the legalese of the
question, as in celebrating the day a few over-dressed wigged men decided to
sign a piece of paper, like signing one of those internet petitions that
constantly circulate. He shrugged his shoulders basically and I didn’t bother to
tell him, hoping some would have a clue, at least more of a clue than a lot of
Tea Partiers and Paulbots I’ve encountered.
Interpreting the real meaning of the 14th Amendment may not be easy,
but understanding how it came to be should be. It became possible the day Lee
surrendered his fading army to Grant, a decision he later regretted.

A few who see through the fog of blind patriotism...

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should
not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all
experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while
evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms
to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and
usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to
reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their
duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their
future security." -
The Unanimous Declaration of the Thirteen United States of America,
Adopted by Congress on July 4, 1776
(To the Founders, 'state' meant independent sovereign nation state,
that was voluntarily entering into the union and could theoretically
un-volunteer later.)
