BATF 'Gunwalker' scandal set to blow
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (and Really Big
Fires) is staring down the barrel of a major scandal, one that could
lead to the agency’s extinction. The ATF stands accused of letting
buyers purchase rifles in the U.S. knowing that the guns were headed for
Mexican drug cartels. Worse, they may have literally walked the guns
into Mexico themselves (hence the scandal’s name). Worse still, it
appears that two of those weapons were used by the drug gang that shot
and killed Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry . . .
All this to justify the existence of the ATF’s Project Gunrunner
firearms interdiction program and, thus, the agency itself. In other
words, the agency allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico so they could
justify a program designed to stop guns from being smuggled into Mexico.

Senator Calls BATF Nazis on Allegations its bureaucrats(tax cops) are running guns
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms -- the agency tasked with keeping U.S. guns from being smuggled to Mexico -- has come under fire for allegedly allowing firearms to cross the border into Mexico.
Last Friday, Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a letter to the ATF stating that his office had "received numerous allegations that the ATF sanctioned the sale of hundreds of assault weapons to suspected straw purchasers, who then allegedly transported these weapons throughout the Southwest border area and into Mexico."

BATF Nazis declare war on the Second Amendment
Citing border violence as the reason, the ATF issued a “secretarial
emergency order” that requires any store that sells more than two rifles
within a five-day period to report the names, addresses and serial
numbers of those transactions if the firearms are greater than
.22-caliber, semi-automatic, with the ability to accept a detachable
magazine. This is the first step in the forced registration of weapons
in the United States. The ATF has exceeded is regulatory authority by
ordered the registration of firearms for any reason.

Following a study released last week by the ATF on the legality of importing shotguns with “non-sporting” features, many shooters and sportsmen expressed outrage. According to the study, despite the fact that popular shooting sports organizations such as USPSA and IPSC have tens of thousands of competitors, the working group which conducted the study felt that
'…participation in and popularity of practical shooting events as governed by formal rules, such as those of the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), to determine whether it was appropriate to consider these events a “sporting purpose” under § 925(d)(3). While the number of members reported for USPSA is similar to the membership for other shotgun shooting organizations, the working group ultimately determined that it was not appropriate to use this shotgun study to determine whether practical shooting is “sporting” under § 925(d)(3).'

Can Arizona over-ride Federal laws?
A bill that pretty much says Arizona leaders can throw out federal laws is making its way through the state Legislature.
If passed and signed into law, Senate Bill 1433 would give members of the state Legislature the power to override federal laws and executive orders.

My response to the poll follows. I was thinking of illegal immigration of course but this 'law' could possibly apply to many issues and if not worded correctly be used by enemies of Liberty -
The question of course is worded wrong to come out in favor of the

Do you think a state should be able to override any federal law it deems
to be dangerous to Liberty or to the Liberty and safety of its
residents?
That wouldn't be perfect but it does clarify the situation somewhat.

decide to nullify the Second Amendment?
The answer to that is easy, we'd need to send in the military to arrest
the state level elected public servants who are probably communists or
some other form of authoritarians and try them for treason and execute

12 states have bills to nullify commiecare entirely
These twelve bills would nullify the entire ObamaCare law because the
“Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” and “Health Care and
Education Reconciliation Act of 2010” were not authorized by the
Constitution of the United States. I've skimmed the full-text of these
bills and it appears that only one, Indiana's, does not have a provision
for criminal penalties for federal and state agents who would try to
enforce the ObamaCare law within the subject state. So, nearly all of
these twelve bills have enforcement "teeth."
With congressional repeal of ObamaCare probably still a couple years
away, state nullification is the best strategy for immediately bogging
down ObamaCare implementation in as many states as possible and
maintaining momentum for the necessary changes in the 2012 congressional
and presidential elections.

The benefits and costs of Spilled Milk
Despite the old saying, "Don't cry over spilled milk," the Environmental
Protection Agency is doing just that.
We all understand why the Environmental Protection Agency was given the
power to issue regulations to guard against oil spills, such as that of
the Exxon Valdez in Alaska or the more recent BP oil spill in the Gulf
of Mexico. But not everyone understands that any power given to any
bureaucracy for any purpose can be stretched far beyond that purpose.
In a classic example of this process, the EPA has decided that, since
milk contains oil, it has the authority to force farmers to comply with
new regulations to file "emergency management" plans to show how they
will cope with spilled milk, how farmers will train "first responders"
and build "containment facilities" if there is a flood of spilled milk.
